Neon Chickadee was founded in 2017 by Erin Barker. She took a local macramé workshop, made her first order of rope that same day, and has never looked back. In 2018, she began to teach workshops of her own, sharing her craft with others.

A lover of all things bohemian, Erin combines a love of textiles and fibre with a passion for SoCal culture. Inspired by the big city lights and cozy canyon hideaways of Los Angeles, her brand aims to bring a little bohemian beauty into your space.

Supporting and fostering community with fellow makers is at the core of Neon Chickadee’s mission. Erin also aims to push the boundaries of a traditional craft, making it modern and relevant to today’s lifestyle.

Erin works from her home studio in the Kawartha Lakes region of Ontario, while also caring for her young daughter.
